Asher and Samuel leaned against a tall shady pine, watching Valencia at the edge of the lake. Samuel, a tall, lanky boy with sandy hair, wrung his hands in anticipation.

“She’s weaker,” Samuel snarled, manipulating two squirrels to battle. Asher sighed. Mind controllers were very cocky, but upon closer inspection, Asher realized that something was wrong with Val. The little American mutant, seeming so lost and alone when Asher found him in a railway car, was actually very crafty. ~~~~ Valencia sat by the edge of the lake, her jeans soaked up to the knees. The rain dripped steadily onto the town of Campbell River, a small town thought very boring by most inhabitants. This very rain encouraged most of its inhabitants to crack out umbrellas and rush for the dryness of their own homes. However, no two people are the same, and it was on this day that two extraordinary people stood in the soaking November rain. They were a boy and a girl, and they were both very upset.

Reading: Watchmen. Again. :)

I will admit; I have been overtaken by the Watchmen phenomenon. I mean, c'mon-is Walter Kovacs/Rorshach not THE coolest vigilante ever??!? And silly dorky Dan/ Nite Owl2.....Wow.

Now, as remarkable as the graphic novel was, I must say the movie was still terriffic. Though they changed the ending a bit, it still worked. translated a bit better to the big screen. However, in my opinion it could've done without the three minute Archie scene that was quite close to the Departure scene in 300. Still pretty kick ass in my opinion. I love the Watchmen! ^-^.
